While WB Montreal didn't have the same cast or team, they managed to put together a game that can stand among its peers and has gone down as one of the most criminally underrated titles in the superhero genre. It also shows Bruce Wayne at a point in his life that is rarely explored. The freedom felt in Arkham Knight was shown in its early stages in Origins and even owes a lot of its success to the prequel.
While the same developers may not have created it, the prequel dared to take the character in new story and gameplay directions that would later be seen at their full potential with Batman: Arkham Knight. Batman: Arkham Origins has always felt like the odd game out when compared to Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy. With every iteration of Batman, there is always one property that feels strange or out of place.
